Smart Hydroponic Tower Installed at Public Market

PLANTS celebrates the installation of a Gardyn 4.0 aeroponic tower system at the Public Market in downtown Wheeling (WV). Featured in the photo are the Public Market general manager, Sarah Morgan, Laurie Ruberg, CEO of PLANTS, LLC, and Public Market office manager, Robin Davis.

Public Market, a local farm retail and restaurant outlet managed by Grow OhioValley, will be a great location for reaching a diverse population with information about the benefits of healthy eating, the convenience of growing hydroponic garden greens indoors, and the benefits of enhancing indoor areas with fresh green seedlings. In addition to serving downtown business customers, the Public Market serves SNAP clients and is the region’s hub for local farm produce.

The Gardyn system is a good education tool because each of the 30 plant pods are labeled for easy plant identification. Below is a picture of the informational display posted with the Gardyn 4.0 system.
